Serge Fiori – Seul ensemble is back on stage. The grand show by Cirque Éloize, which revisits the work of Serge Fiori and Harmonium through circus, music, and dance, began its new life in Montreal at the end of summer 2026. The tour now continues at the Théâtre Capitole de Québec, in Gatineau, La Baie, and Sherbrooke, until spring 2027. Here's everything you need to know before buying your tickets.
Serge Fiori – Seul ensemble: a new version in 2026
First presented in 2019, the Cirque Éloize creation attracted over 70,000 spectators before the pandemic-induced suspension. The return of this show was among the last wishes of Serge Fiori, who passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 73.
The 2026 version is not just a revival. Cirque Éloize describes it as a "grand and moving" reinterpretation of the work, with new circus acts, new visual tableaux, and a redesigned scenography. It also incorporates segments related to Serge Fiori's latest creations, including the KWE! project, featuring artists singing in eleven Indigenous languages of Quebec. Even before the premiere, the production had surpassed 20,000 tickets sold.
A journey into the world of Harmonium
Rather than telling the artist's life story, Seul ensemble invites the audience into his imagination, through his music, poetry, and emotion. On stage, the great classics of Harmonium and Serge Fiori's songs serve as the guiding thread. More than 19 artists, acrobats, and dancers take turns: trapeze, aerial silk, Chinese pole, juggling, Cyr wheel, ballet, and contemporary dance.
For several generations of Quebecers, the albums Harmonium, Si on avait besoin d'une cinquième saison, and L'Heptade are landmarks. Seeing these pieces brought to life by moving bodies is something unifying: it's often a moment shared between parents and children.
