The Immersive Carnival of the Animals is the new family experience from OASIS immersion, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. Inspired by the masterpiece of Camille Saint-Saëns, it immerses young and old in a vibrant retro-futuristic world, populated by whimsical characters that are half-animal, half-instrument. A great outing to introduce children to classical music, presented until November 29, 2026.

A Musical Adventure in Four Acts

Upon entry, each visitor receives a luminous bracelet synchronized to the music. The journey is divided into three immersive galleries and a creative space:

  • The Musical Big Bang: sound gives birth to life and the first species;
  • The Survival of Species: explore ecosystems where wildlife must adapt;
  • Harmony on Capriccio: an interactive floor reacts to movements, amidst projections, light, and music;
  • The Harmony Workshop: artistic activities, reading corner, and photo station to end the visit.

Along the way, you encounter creatures like the Grand Liano, the Aérophones, the Altomule, and the Tortoncello. The playful and interactive scenography transforms each room into a playground.

Saint-Saëns' Music at the Heart of the Experience

The soundtrack features the 14 movements of the Carnival of the Animals, in an orchestral arrangement performed by the Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Montréal and recorded in spatial sound. The show is a co-production of OASIS Studios immersifs and L'Arsenal à Musique. The result: a moment of curiosity and pleasure where the work is discovered as much with the eyes as with the ears.

The exhibition is primarily aimed at children aged 2 to 12, but it targets the whole family: parents, grandparents, and teachers. Adults will find an original interpretation of a great classic, while the little ones enjoy a colorful journey in the land of animals.
