Calienté, the show that melts winter away, is returning to Montreal. This Latin dinner-show, produced by Groupe Thalio, combines music, dance, gastronomy, and immersive projections at Studio St-Denis. After a first series of performances in 2026, CALIENTE! – Latin Heat in the Heart of Winter is back from March 18 to 27, 2027.

Caliente on Stage: Singers, Musicians, and Dancers

Singers Franck Gomez, Noderlis Valdes, and Andy Rubal join their voices, accompanied by their musicians and the dancers of Jhaime Vega and the Alliance Dance Company. On the program, a whirlwind of southern rhythms: salsa, cha-cha, merengue, bolero, mambo, and bachata. Classics like Chan Chan and Guantanamera sit alongside Suavemente and Danza Kuduro.

The staging and artistic direction are by Vincent Egret, musical direction by Andy Rubal, and choreography by Jhaime Vega. Promise: a festive and energetic evening.

An Immersive Experience, from Havana to New York

Thanks to the 360-degree panoramic projections by Pierre Raiche and lighting by Martin Boisclair, each scene transports the audience to a new destination: the streets of Havana, the Caribbean beaches, and the salsa clubs of New York. A true explosion of energy, colors, and joy in the heart of the Quebec winter.

The Caliente Dinner-Show: A Latin-Caribbean Menu to Share

Dinner is an integral part of the experience. The restaurant Le Molière offers a sharing platter menu:

  • Starter: empanadas, quesadillas, avocado sour cream, and shrimp salpicón;
  • Main Course: spicy and smoked grills (chicken, chorizo, chicharrón), rice with red beans, fried plantains, and chimichurri sauce;
  • Dessert: dulce de leche cake.
