POCHA MTL is Montreal's Korean street food festival. Every June at the Peel Basin in Griffintown, this large Korean street market brings together street food, K-pop, and South Korean culture for the whole family.

Pocha MTL: Montreal's Korean Street Market

The name comes from pojangmacha, the iconic street stalls found all over South Korea. Organized by ASIASIE, Pocha MTL recreates their festive atmosphere: you stroll between the kiosks, taste the food, and enjoy the entertainment. The 2026 edition expected more than 25,000 people.

The last edition took place from June 11 to 14, 2026. The dates for Pocha MTL 2027 have not yet been announced: follow the ASIASIE website and the Instagram account @pocha_mtl.

Korean Street Food on the Menu

The menu varies depending on the invited restaurants, but in 2026 it included:

  • tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and japchae;
  • Korean fried chicken, barbecue, and dak-kkochi (skewers);
  • kogos (Korean corn dogs) and savory pancakes;
  • tanghulu and bubble tea.

A market of Korean products complements the offer, with picnic areas to eat on-site.

K-pop and Cultural Programming

The program features K-pop performances and Random Play Dance sessions, where visitors dance to the choreography of their favorite songs. Activities for children are also part of the event.
