The concept: the neighborhood pizzeria, Italo-Québécois style

At Locali, the idea is simple: respect Italian traditions while adapting them to local reality. Almost everything on the menu is local, and many ingredients are certified Aliments du Québec. The brand is a creation of Alexandre Brunet, founder of Pizzeria NO.900, renowned for its Neapolitan pizza.

But here, no Neapolitan pizza: Locali focuses on an American-style pizza, inspired by New York. According to media covering the opening in Quebec City, the dough ferments for at least 72 hours, resulting in an airy crust, a crispy bottom, and slices easy to eat by hand.

The ambiance is warm, colorful, funky, with a vintage touch. It's a place designed for a family outing, a meal with friends, or a moment with colleagues.

World pizza champions

In March 2026, during an international championship held in Las Vegas, Patrice Desmeules and Fiodar Huminski finished 1st and 2nd in the world in the traditional American pizza category, out of 750 participants and a blind jury. Fiodar Huminski, Locali's executive chef, also secured 4th place in the dairy-free category.

Born in Minsk, Chef Huminski arrived in Canada at 18. As R&D Chef at NO.900 since 2020, he perfected Locali's recipe for months before opening. Patrice Desmeules is the co-owner of the Quebec City branch. For the team, this victory in Las Vegas proved that the product was ready for a second location.
