Every autumn, La Ronde transforms into a massive open-air haunted house. Festival de la Frayeur 2026: Dates
The 2026 edition of the Festival de la Frayeur takes place from October 3 to November 1, 2026, on October weekends, as well as Monday, October 12 (Thanksgiving) and Fridays, October 23 and 30. The schedule varies by day, generally between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m.: some dates open only in the evening. Check the detailed schedule on La Ronde's official website before your visit.
Scare Zones at La Ronde
After 5:30 p.m., the park plunges into a horror atmosphere: dim lighting, fog, elaborate sets, and creatures that appear without warning. This year, the highlight is The Forgotten Teddies (Les Oursons oubliés), an abandoned fairground where stuffed animals have become the eerie guardians of the site. It joins the returning scare zones:
- the InFestarium, where critters no longer hide;
- the Zombie Camp;
- the Scorched Dolls;
- the Clown Carnage;
- Cannibal Island;
- the Cemetery, where statues seem to follow you with their eyes;
- the Kingdom of the Damned.
La Ronde offers three levels of experience: family (no scares, before 5 p.m.), moderate (mysterious ambiance, with immunity from scares), and extreme (guaranteed scares). You choose your level of fear.
The Awakening Show and Entertainment
The Awakening Show returns with a new staging: over 50 creatures in a choreographed performance of about 25 minutes, presented at the Place d'animation. Throughout the evening, a DJ, percussionists, and giant skeleton puppets animate the site, with live performances on Saturdays. The rides remain open: thrills and chills in the same place!
The Pumpkin Festival: Family Section
Before sunset, the Pumpkin Festival welcomes families: shows by Ribambelle and the Monstres Moches, encounters with costumed characters, themed dances, and stilt walkers. The daytime programming is suitable for all ages. In the evening, however, the event is not recommended for children 12 and under.
Tickets and Admission
Access to the Festival de la Frayeur is included with admission to La Ronde: single-day tickets (starting at about $50 online) or season passes. The Gold and Prestige 2027 passes grant access to the Festival de la Frayeur 2026 and 2027. A VIP package is also available, with priority access to attractions and meals.
