Festival du nouveau cinéma (October 8 to 18, 2026)
The Festival du nouveau cinéma de Montréal presents its 55th edition from October 8 to 18, 2026. Each year, the FNC offers more than 200 works from 60 countries, presented in various venues across the city. A must for the curious and cinephiles.

A meeting place for wine and spirits enthusiasts, La Grande Dégustation de Montréal takes place at the Grand Quai of the Port of Montréal. The general public can attend on Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7, with over 1,700 products to discover.
Salon du livre de Montréal (November 25 to 29, 2026)
The Salon du livre de Montréal, the largest Francophone literary event in the Americas, takes place from November 25 to 29, 2026 at the Palais des congrès, under the theme "Dare." Starting November 13, the Salon in the City offers activities in bookstores, cafes, and museums across Greater Montréal. Le Grand Marché de Noël (from November 13, 2026)
The Grand Marché de Noël de Montréal opens on November 13, 2026, in the Quartier des spectacles, on Sainte-Catherine Street, between Balmoral and Jeanne-Mance, downtown. Until January 3, 2027, about forty chalets host local artisans, with free entertainment. From November 13 to December 13, the site is open from Wednesday to Sunday, then every day starting December 16.
December 2026: Holiday Magic
The Nutcracker (December 5 to 30, 2026)
A holiday tradition for decades, The Nutcracker by Les Grands Ballets returns to the Wilfrid-Pelletier Hall at Place des Arts from December 5 to 30, 2026. Dates close to Christmas fill up quickly: book early.
