The life of peaceful rancher John Benedict is torn apart when his family is massacred by a gang of marauding outlaws and his farm is destroyed. He assembles a team of mean, lawless convicts to act as his posse as he pursues the gang responsible for the deaths of his loved ones.










William Holden (April 17, 1918 – November 12, 1981) was an American actor. He was nominated for three Academy Awards in his career (winning Best Actor in 1953 for "Stalag 17"), and also won the Emmy Award for Best Actor for "The Blue Knight" in 1974. He is also known for his roles in "Sunset Boulevard" (1950), "Sabrina" (1954), and "Network" (1976).
Ernest Borgnine (born Ermes Effron Borgnino; January 24, 1917 – July 8, 2012) was an American actor whose career spanned over six decades. He was noted for his gruff but calm voice and gap-toothed Cheshire Cat grin. A popular performer, he also appeared as a guest on numerous talk shows and as a panelist on several game shows.
An athlete turned actor, Strode was a top-notch decathlete and a football star at UCLA. He became part of Hollywood lore after meeting director John Ford and becoming a part of the Ford "family," appearing in four Ford motion pictures. Strode also played the powerful gladiator who does battle with Kirk Douglas in Spartacus (1960).
