He was the first actor to voice Norville "Shaggy" Rogers in the Scooby-Doo franchise (1969 to 1997 and 2002 to 2009).

Betty Jean Ward (born September 12, 1944), professionally known as B. J. Ward, is an American actress and voice actress. She is the creator and star of Stand-Up Opera, a musical one-woman show, as well as being a licensed aviator. She was also a Playboy Bunny at the New York Playboy Club in 1963.
