The Festival des arts de ruelle (FAR) turns Montreal’s alleys into open-air stages. Founded in 2017, it offers each late summer a rich program of short professional performances — music, dance, theatre, circus, visual arts — in the heart of the neighbourhoods.

What to expect

Dozens of artists, a warm and free atmosphere, and the magic of art appearing where you least expect it: between two sheds, on a balcony, at the end of an alley. A deeply local, community-driven festival.

Who is it for?

Families, couples or neighbours — friendly and free, perfect for a spontaneous summer outing.
